Based in the northern Pre-Alps, Chamb\u00e9ry is the prefecture of Savoie. Rich in cultural<\/strong> heritage<\/strong> and historical<\/strong> sites<\/strong>, this pretty town is just 40 minutes from Camping Ile de la Comtesse (reception).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nicknamed the “City of Dukes”<\/strong>, Chamb\u00e9ry offers a wide range of tours of its heritage and must-see sites. The ChamNord shopping center<\/strong> in Zone des Landiers offers a shopping day in the rain, thanks to the mall’s roof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To get to Chamb\u00e9ry, we recommend you take the departmental road. You’ll cross the gorges de la Balme<\/strong> with its magnificent<\/strong> scenery<\/strong>, then a breathtaking view of Lac du Bourget with a road just below the Dent du Chat. Finally, you’ll pass the beach at Bourget du Lac and the Chamb\u00e9ry airfield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
