The Ile de la Comtesse is ideally located on the shores of lac Cuchet. The seven and a half acre site offers 130 plots in a stunning natural setting. Located at the gateway to the Alps beneath some of the range's most famous peaks, the site brings you unspoiled mountain landscapes, the beautiful scenery of le bugey and the grandeur of the surrounding mountains. Feel like taking it easy? Take the family for a splash in our swimming pool, on the beach, under waterfalls, in small rivers or on the shore of lac Cuchet- the site is right on the lake. Looking for something more adventurous? Discover the Alps- a wide range of magnificent landscapes await you: Annecy and its lake, Chammonix and, towering above everything the Mont Blanc. L'Ile de la Comtesse gives you just the right mix of water, mountain and sky and adds a human face. We only cater for holiday makers- there are no permanent residents. The site is also well shaded and provides all the leafy tranquility your family need to rediscover nature- the perfect spot for your dream holiday.

Camping the way you like it

The Ile de la Comtesse site offers a variety of options to give you and the family just the holiday you want. Our large plots let you rediscover the joys of camping in a friendly family setting.

Of course, you can also stay in one of the recently-built chalets which provide all the comfort your family could want. The chalets can take upto six people and are fully equipped with shower, toilet, heating, kitchen, microwave oven, veranda and so on.

We have recently provided a number of new facilities * to make sure that your stay is as enjoyable as possible and our staff speak a number of languages including English, Dutch, German and French. You'll feel at home at Ile de la Comtesse!

*Mini-market open seven days a week, bar, snack bar with take-away meals (chips, meatballs, pizzas, sataay brochettes and croquettes), restaurant, swimming pool (open 1st of May), facilities for motor homes with a 'Euro-Relais' service point, washing machines, dryers, cybercafe, inclusive terms, etc.

Activities and Sports

There are loads of activities to make your stay at the Ile de la Comtesse site remain in your memory for ever! The 'mini-club' and 'club-ado' offer children and teenagers games and activities and the kids will also love the team sports and video games. Fans of water sport will be able to indulge in their passion with water-skiing, jet-skiing, kayaking, rafting and much more- not forgetting relaxation on the pool or at the beach. Others will go for volleyball, fishing, collecting mushrooms or mini-golf. There is a wide range of activities and entertainment during the high season to delight both young and old, including volleyball tournements, boules matches, theme nights, special meal events and prize bingo. Discover the wide open spaces outside the site and explore on foot or by mountain bike. You also can't leave with-out spending an unforgettable day at Walibi, the adventure park less than three miles from the site with attractions which cannot be found anywhere else in France.

During the high season you will be received at camping l'Ile de la Comtesse by personel who also speak English.
